Fretwork Shelf, Family Scroll Saw Pattern.

This small shelf is ten inches wide and five inches deep. It's just big enough to hold a candle or other small item. It might even be a nice place to sit a small family photograph. All the pieces are cut from 1/4" thick wood. I used Baltic Birch plywood but a nice hard wood would look better.

I will be attending the Midwest scroll saw and woodworking Trade Show this year. I will be hosted by Seyco in their booth. The event will be held in the Grand Ball Room at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds,14569 Old Highway Road, Dubuque, IA, 52002

The show starts Friday, August 18 and Saturday August 19. The show is hosted by the Veterans Freedom Center and Karen Boelman of The Art Factory. This show has a long and respected history. Several vendors will be there. Local woodworking clubs, Display tables, scroll saw coral and more.

If you will be in the area of Dubuque IA in August I hope you set set your schedule to visit the show. While you are there please stop by the Seyco booth and say hi to me. I would love to meet you and talk scroll saw.

Hope to see you there.

Wooden Bowls from the Scroll Saw: 28 Useful and Surprisingly Easy-to-Make Projects

Carole Rothman wrote this fantastic book a few years ago. It is still one of the best books on this type of pattern. These bowls are not nearly as difficult to make as they look. If you want a project that no one will guess was made on a scroll saw this is it.
