Okay, I have to admit that I watch the news about UFO sightings. I 100% believe there is other life in the universe. I, 2% want to think they have visited Earth. I am at 2% because to get to 100% the aliens need to come to have dinner with me. I wonder if they like meatloaf?
When I was around 13 years old, my mom and I often set out in the yard during the summer nights. We did not have AC so it was cooler outside with a breeze. One night we were convinced that we saw a UFO. It looked like an elongated capsule. It was early evening so there was still a little sun showing from over the horizon. The object was to our south west so it was slightly illuminated but it had no gloss. It was a flat dark color. It did not have lights and it did not move. I was clearly visible as there were no clouds that night. It stayed in the same position until we decided to go inside. The next morning it was gone. I never came to a good understanding of what we saw. What intrigued me the most was how clear of a look we had over several minutes. I think I am smart enough to know that your eyes and mind can be fooled so It could have been one of those cases. It is just so much more fun to think I saw ET. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The layered alien art is 10" X 8" with five 1/4" thick layers. That is a lot of material so inexpensive plywood is probably the best choice.
On the first day that a pattern gets posted it will typically get around 1,000 downloads. I rarely guess which patterns will be popular but I have a strong hunch the Alien pattern won't hit 1,000. π
The "I Believe" pattern is 15" long and uses 3/4" wood for the letters and 1/4" for the backer board. I did not realize the association between these two patterns until after I finished. No, "I Believe" does not mean I believe in Aliens. It is a little more spiritual than that. π
