United States Strategic Air Command Plate Scroll Saw Pattern.

I received an email from John. He ask if I would consider creating a pattern for SAC. Here is what he said.

Please consider designing a military plaque for the thousands that were assigned to the Strategic Air Command (SAC) during the Cold War, Vietnam and many years thereafter. The cornerstone of SAC has been the B52 Bomber and the KC135 Air Refueling tanker.

John I am more than happy to design this pattern. The men and women of SAC have been a primary protector of our country. I appreciate the service of all the SAC men and women. Thanks you.

Strategic Air Command from Wikipedia.
The Strategic Air Command was established a year earlier than the United States Air Force.  It's roles were then strategic bombardment, long range reconnaissance, mapping and weather reporting.  It soon became America's primary deterrent force.
SAC was a unique military force, because it bypassed the normal chain of command. It was under the direct operational control of the President of the United States.  He was the only person authorized to launch its aircraft and missiles.  However it was under the administrative control of the Air Force.  SAC's headquarters were at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
