Battery eliminator for AA battery clock movements.

Are you tired of replacing batteries in you DIY clocks? This little device is reasonably priced and does the job. Turn your AA battery powered clock in to a AC powered clock. I just received this in the mail and installed it in one of my clocks. I bought it from Norkro for $9.99 + $5.90 shipping and handling. I found the same product on Klockits website for a buck cheaper but there shipping was a buck higher. I am more familiar with Klockit so I probably would have ordered from them if I had seen it before I placed the other order. The order from Norkro.com was shipped timely without problems so all was good.

There is not much to review with this product. It replaces a single AA battery. Just replace the battery with the AC powered substitute and you are all set. The power cable is six feet long. The attached wall wart is not too to large at about 2.25 inches long.

If you sell your clocks at Arts and Crafts shows this is a nice up-sell for your customers. If you give your clocks as gifts this really add a nice touch.

They also have one to replace C batteries.

The picture below shows the battery eliminator attached to one of my clocks.

Basketball Fanatic Scroll Saw Pattern.

This pattern will hang well for the basketball fan in your life. The backboard is 10" X 8". It would be easy to customize this pattern for your favorite team. Just use a stencil font to add the team name to the backboard in place of the current text.

Just another note about email. I am days behind. Please forgive me for not answering your email if I miss yours.

BigFoot Products DCS Review. Dust control for the DeWalt DW788.

Let me start out by letting you know that this is not a paid review. The product was supplied to me for free for review purposes. I have no affiliation with BigFoot Products.

Dust control can be a big problem when scrolling. David from BigFoot Products ask me to check out his new DCS(Dust Control System). I went into the shop and put it through some tests. Check out the video below to find out how it did.

Fish Sculpture Scroll Saw Pattern.

-This project is all cut from 3/4" Thick material. The fish is over nine inches long. It's going to be a little fragile so you will have to sit the sculpture in a careful location.

I'm always watching Youtube for interesting scroll saw videos. I found one tonight that I think is a fantastic example of free hand folk art on the scroll saw. Christopher Demetrick designs and cuts a folksy looking fun project. It's not too long so give it a look.

Once again I have made a set of plaques - for Valentine's Day, observed on February 14 in many countries around the world. Valentines is all about love, hearts and roses, and all these symbols are featured in the patterns. Cut the designs using 1/2" to 1" (12mm to 25mm) for a substantial plaque project. Alternatively they can be cut from 1/8" (3mm) wood. Drill blade entry holes and make the inside cuts of the designs. Use small pieces of thin double-sided tape in a few places to attach the work piece on top of the wood for the backer. Cut the scalloped perimeter line of the pattern through both layers of wood. Detach the work pieces, remove the double-sided tape, and sand them by hand. For overlays made from birch plywood, add a darker wood (or painted backer), to accentuate the designs. Complete the project by gluing the overlay on top of the backer. Attach a saw tooth hanger to the back. Instead of using it as a wall hanging, the plaque can also be displayed on a stand.
I am offering this set at a 25% discount
