July 25th is National Hire a Veteran Day, and it's a great time to remember that veterans bring much more to the table than just military experience. They’re dependable, hard-working, and know how to stay cool under pressure—traits every business needs. Veterans are used to working on a team, following through on commitments, and adapting quickly to new challenges. Plus, they’ve been trained to lead, solve problems, and get the job done right. Hiring a vet isn’t just a good deed—it’s a smart business move.
If you own a business or are in the position to hire employees, then please consider adding Military service to your requirements/desires for employment.
I know that many of you have children and grandchildren who serve in the military. My guess is that they would be happy to receive a gift like this, knowing you made it for them.

Yesterdays Pattern:
We have even more proof that we are getting older. Yesterday, I posted a pattern for a gnome band named ZZ Bottom, an obvious dip into the ZZ Top band style. I also posted a Hard Rock song sung by ZZ Bottom. I was a little worried that the Hard Rock music might turn some of you off. It probably did, but here is something interesting. I noticed that ZZ Top started their band in 1969, That would put many of us in our teens and 20s time frame. To my surprise, the song had more downloads than the pattern did. Gnome patterns are always popular, but a hard rock song????
We may be getting older, but we still got some rock and roll albums hidden in our closets.😎 We just hope the kids don't find out.
