Patty and I recently celebrated our 46th anniversary. We dated for four years before we married, so the years are adding up. They always say that if you can marry up, you should. Well, I got lucky and was able to marry up. With very few exceptions, my life has been better than the year before. Most of this is because of Patty and her family. I came from a troubled background, and Patty's family had closer ties and an extended family that all cared for each other. My wife Patty is a great organizer, and I am not. She keeps me straight on dates and events. If it were up to me alone, I would miss my own funeral. I am overly punctual, but that is only after she reminds me I have someplace to be.
In the 50 years we have been together, not every day has been happy, but we always had the sense to work out the problems. We can both be stubborn, but at least I am smart enough to know she is right, way more than me. Patty, after all these years, I Still Love You.💕 Kinda mushy, huh?
