Here are a few patterns for inspirational word blocks. After cutting the word out, glue on the back and use risers blocks to lift the word out of the block. The instructions are included in the pattern book. One note. Make sure you hide the entry hole for the outside cut of the word in a corner.
Before one of you ask why I did not just use a bevel cut to extrude the letters. I wanted the kerf to show around the letters. The riser blocks let that happen. If you look at the pieces in the picture below you will see how the block in constructed.
