This Jazz portrait pattern is 8" X 10".
I am showing this portrait framed but it would look fine cut in thicker wood and just not use a backer or frame.
How the Sausage is Made:
The next image is the work in progress of this pattern. I thought you may find it interesting. The red is the final pattern. All the other images are my thought process while designing the pattern. This is just a small part of all the iterations the pattern went through. In my graphics program, I can copy and move images out of the design area. The design area in the image below is filled with the red portrait. I keep everything in the waste area until I am sure I don't need it.
It started out on an oval plaque and morphed into the portrait pattern. It was a total of about four hours of work. That is about double the normal time of my designs. It was not because the pattern was difficult. It was just that I kept changing my mind on what looked good.
Here is a link to the Jazzfuel web page where they rate the 40 best jazz musicians of all time. Here is their top ten. For me, Louis Armstrong would be number one and Ella Fitzgerald would have to be in my top five.

Ornette Coleman
The Dust Deputy Cyclone is one of my favorite shop investments.
I hate having to empty sawdust from a shop vac or dust collector. I also start to lose suction when the filters clog and I don't notice it before I have a mess. The Dust Deputy solves both of those problems.
I used to empty the shop vac a couple of times a month. With the Dust Deputy, I can go several months before the bucket fills up. I have a larger cyclone unit on my table saw. It uses a large metal trash can for the dust container. I don't even remember the last time I had to empty it.
The filters in my shop vac rarely need to be cleaned or replaced since I installed the Dust Deputy.
If this is something you may be interested in then watch the video below. You will see how I installed the Dust Deputy in my show on wheels.

The next video is a discussion about how a dust cyclone works. This guy does a nice job with the explanation.
