With Optional Backer Board.

This pattern book has individual patterns for 1 thru 70 years together. These can be used as stand-alone decorations, cake toppers, wall art, etc... The patterns are approximately ten inches long.

This pattern recognizes the years we celebrate together. Anniversaries are special days. Help the couple celebrate with a handmade gift.

Scroll Saw Balde Tip:

Craft Paint
Blade Top Tips dipped in paint.

I'm going to be honest that I don't use this tip but some may find it helpful.

You can easily distinguish the size and top of scroll saw blades by dipping them in different colors of paint. Open the package of blades and dip the very top tip in a different color of paint for the different size blades you use.

Scroll saw blades are packaged so they are all orientated in the same direction. When you open the package, remove the wire wrap and check one of the blades for the top. Now dip all the blades in the color of paint you choose for that size blade.

You only want to dip the very top tip of the blade. A millimeter of paint is enough. Stand the blades up in a hole in a piece of wood and let them dry overnight.

Now if the blades get mixed up you will have no problem picking out the different sizes

Free is easy to sell:

This is just a note to the many new scrollers who have signed up on my blog. I receive email weekly asking me to stop adding my title page to my patterns. It is usually because they don't want to use up ink while printing.

Another question is about why I place the download button so far down the page.

I understand why both questions come up. It is not convenient.

This is the reason. Money. I offer my patterns for free. I am absolutely fine if you download and use the patterns for free. It is my choice that they are free.

As you can imagine, there is little profit in free. :) Again, it is my choice so I'm not complaining I just want you to know why I do certain things that may be inconvenient to my readers.

The title page on my patterns is critical for my branding. My patterns get shared all over the world. I need people to know where the pattern comes from. You do not need to print the title page. Print drivers allow you to only print the pages you need.

The reason I put the download link down the page is so you see the products that I do earn income from.

Some folks also don't care for the advertisements. I understand that also. I don't like them much either but they are necessary to keep the blog open.

The blog is my full time job. I average 30 to 40 hours a week working on the blog. Its a great job but I would not do that much work for no compensation. The blog also has some significant expenses.

So it is important that I do a few things that are an inconvenience for my readers to help keep the blog alive and the patterns free. I hope that trade off is valuable to you.

I am extremely lucky to be able to do what I love to do every day. None of the above is a complaint from me. I just want everyone to know how it works.

Speaking of lucky to have this business, I will celebrate 14 years of writing the blog in a couple of weeks. I have posted a new pattern on average of every 1.2 days for those 14 years. You would think a sane person would be burned out by now but I still look forward to every day. If that's not lucky then I don't know what is.

Think Safety

Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
