Guest Video, Scott Seifer Show booth setup:

You may remember that a few days ago I featured a couple videos by Scott Seifer. They showed his process for getting ready for an art and crafts show. At the time Scott said he would try to video his actual show setup. This is his video of that setup. Here is the email I received from Scott with the video link. If you have plans to attend a craft show there and several helpful tips in this video.
Thanks for sharing your setup Scott.

Hi Steve,

I'm back home after my big event and a business trip to Austin, TX.

Here is a video I put together (from 7 clips) of my booth setup.  It's 10 minutes in total.  I was actually able to show 2 booth setups and the 2nd setup is my preferred and I was able to prove that it is much more conducive for higher sales.

Saturday with the less preferred setup, sold 10 puzzles per hour.  Sunday with preferred setup, sold 15 per hour and the crowd was about 1/4 the size Sunday compared to Saturday.

Take a minute to visit Scott's web site. https://www.woodcraftbyscott.com/

I am caught up on orders. If you have not received your order please check your spam folder. If they are not there send me an email and I'll resend.

I have had a few questions about how difficult the personalized ornaments are to cut with surnames.
I made up a test sheet with 10, 11 and 12 letter surnames. You will see that all of these can still be cut. They get tight and you may need a small drill bit for some of the entry holes depending on the letters. I intentionally don't let the letters touch the top bar to reduce the number of interior cuts.

For those of you who want to cut these for families at church or other families these will almost always work. You don't have to pay for the ornaments unless you are totally happy with the patterns so if you decide they are too tough just don't pay for them.  Download the test pdf and print it out. Then you can decide if they are within you skill range.

Amazon Echo - Black

I started using the Amazon Echo over a year ago. I use it a lot. I have it set to control lights in my office and bedroom with more planed. I also plan on installing a echo controlled thermostat. I listen to audio books, music and news. All without touching anything. Simple voice control. The speaker sounds great. If you are interested in starting to build out a smart home this is a decent way to get started.

  • Plays all your music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and more using just your voice
  • Introducing Alexa calling and messaging, a new way to be together with family and friends. Just ask Alexa to call or message anyone with an Echo, Echo Dot, or the Alexa App.
  • Fills the room with immersive, 360º omni-directional audio. Play music simultaneously across Echo devices with multi-room music (Spotify and Sirius XM support coming soon, Bluetooth not supported).
  • Hears you from across the room with far-field voice recognition, even while music is playing
  • Answers questions, reads the news, reports traffic and weather, reads audiobooks from Audible, gives info on local businesses, provides sports scores and schedules, controls Amazon Video on Fire TV, and more using the Alexa Voice Service
  • Controls lights, fans, TVs, switches, thermostats, garage doors, sprinklers, locks, and more with compatible connected devices from WeMo, Philips Hue, Sony, Samsung SmartThings, Nest, and others
  • Always getting smarter and adding new features, plus thousands of skills like Uber, Domino's, DISH, and more

Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
