This pattern book contains three Halloween decorations. The decorations are all cut from 1/4" thick wood, and the bases are 3/4 " thick to make them more stable.
The second pattern is the Happy Thanksgiving plaque. It is three layers of 1/4" thick wood.
Halloween’s origins date back more than 2,000 years to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced “sow-in”). The Celts, who lived in what is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. They believed that on the night before—October 31—the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead blurred. To ward off roaming spirits, people lit bonfires and wore costumes made of animal hides. When Christianity spread through Europe, the Church incorporated many pagan traditions, and by the 8th century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as All Saints’ Day, with All Hallows’ Eve (later “Halloween”) the night before.
In colonial America, Halloween took on new life as European and Native American customs blended. It evolved from solemn harvest gatherings and ghost stories into more communal celebrations with parties, games, and mischief. By the late 1800s, the focus shifted from witchcraft and superstition toward community and family fun. In the 20th century, trick-or-treating became a staple, boosted by candy companies and pop culture. Today, Halloween is one of the most celebrated holidays in the U.S., mixing spooky folklore with creativity, costumes, and good-natured fright.
Poll of Favorite Holidays in the U.S.
In a poll. 1,000 people were asked which holiday was their favorite. Halloween surprised me in third place. I expected it to be lower. Maybe they asked the children.😁

Order your Personalized Christmas Ornaments.
READ: Very Important Information.
I am going to start with the ornaments for people. I will add the Pet ornaments later this week. Every year, I get backed up early, but I will do my best to get the order to you in less than a week. You do not pay until you have the order in your email. These are all shipped by email. No paper delivery.
The price is the same as every year. 5 ornaments minimum for $5, then $1 for each additional ornament. The order form will take 20 names, then if you need more, you will have to start another order.
It is best to use the person's first name. Last names can be too long and very difficult to cut. I will do last names, I just don't recommend them unless they are shorter names. Here is a sample download link for an ornament with a ten-letter last name. Test before you order.
