This is a weird combination of patterns. Some days, my mind just goes weird. This was one of those days. The first pattern is a 10" long Ant. The second pattern is an Easter Chick.
I spent most of the day working on taxes. I don't actually mind paying tax on the blog, but I hate the process of gathering all the documents and adding up the expenses. My organization skill need improving 😁

The crucifix is nearly 12" tall. The pattern calls for 3/4" and 1/4" thick wood.
Remember to ensure the child is age-appropriate if you make the Bear Family for them. There are small pieces that can be choking hazards.
The Bear family is cut from all 1/4" thick layers. These are not large. the Papa bear is under 4.5" long, so you may be able to make the whole family from the scrap bin. If you drill the eye holes, there are no interior cuts, making the pattern fast to cut.

This fat Piggy Bank requires you to cut acrylic. With a few precautions, acrylic can be cut on a scroll saw. See the images below to see my technique. I sandwiched the acrylic between two sheets of thin plywood. I then wrapped the sandwich in packing tape, applied the pattern over the tape, and was ready to cut. I generally use a small skip-tooth blade for acrylic.
This pattern calls for 3/4" and 1/4" thick wood. The 1/4" thick layer is only to make the coin slot thinner. If you do not mind a larger coin slot, then you can use 3/4" thick wood for all of the layers. The wider slot makes it easier to remove the coins as well.
The Piggy is about 9.5" long and 7.25" tall.
