Here are a pair of book end patterns. The construction is slot and tab and very easy to cut. I used 3/4" maple for the horse and face plate. Walnut was used for the base and wall. I used a #7 scroll reverse blade for the entire project.
I am finally back home from training. I was gone for a month! It feels great to be back working in my shop again. My lungs needed a saw dust fix. The blog was very slow while I was away. Hopefully I can get things back to normal in short time.
I have a long backlog of email waiting to be answered. I'm slowly working working to get them all answered. Please be patient with me and I'll get to them all.

Think Safety
Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
