Harry Callahan was a hero of mine. When we kids we would go to triple headers at the movie theater and be there all day watching Clint Eastwood play Dirty Harry. When Harry pulled out the 44 magnum bad things were going to happen.
My favorite line from all the Dirty Harry movies goes like this:
Callahan:
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well,
to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track
myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in
the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask
yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
Those were the good old days before everyone told us watching random senseless violence would make us grow up to be cold blooded psycho killers. Somehow we knew they were just movies.
