Silhouette Studio Cameo 3 Quick Review:
I am getting ready for the Midwest Scroll Saw and Woodworking Trade Show. I like to take giveaways to the show but they are expensive to buy. I now have all the equipment I need to make my own personalized giveaways. I thought I would talk about my vinyl cutter, the Silhouette Cameo 3 for those of you who may be interested. It's a cool machine.
The Cameo 3 will cut vinyl, paper, cardstock, and fabric up to 12 inches wide. You can also buy an optional roll feeder for long cuts. I typically use 12" X 12" sheets of vinyl.
I have gotten almost flawless results after a short learning curve.
I have made giveaways and gifts. Here are some pictures of a few things I have made.
Scrollsaw Workshop Coffee Mug. I buy the mugs at the dollar store for a dollar.
These would be great for family reunions, class reunions, weddings and lots more.
I use Oracle 651 vinyl sheets. It's recommended that you hand wash. I have run these through the dishwasher and they held up fine.
Scrollsaw Workshop Water Bottle.Patty's initials on a bag. They have vinyl specifically for fabric. They are heat trasnfer vinyl sheets.
This one was for me.
Here is a drink cooler cup with Patty's name.
I customized the front of my 3D printer.
You can purchase printable sticker paper. You print the image with your inkjet printer. Then you put the sticker paper in the Cameo 3 to cut out the shape of the sticker. These are round but it can do irregular shapes as well. It works very well.
There are dozens of YouTube videos showing what the Cameo 3 can do. Click this link if you want to watch some demonstrations. Cameo 3 YouTube Videos.
