Yesterday I published the back side of the Kennedy half a dollar coin. It just seemed logical to do the front side of the coin today. This coin is also thirteen inches in diameter to match the back of the coin.
This pattern will be considerably easier to cut than the back side of the coin.
When you assemble the pattern notice that the head slightly covers the E and R in liberty. The head sits just on top of the W in "We Trust".

The Midwest Scroll Saw & Woodworking Trade Show is just days away. I plan to attend again this year. I will be the Guest of Bear Woods. The show is on August 3rd and 4th 2018 in Dubuque Iowa.
This is the flagship scroll saw event of the year. If you have the opportunity to attend you won't be disappointed. They put on a very nice event. Dubuque is a nice small city. It's easy to get around and the scenery is beautiful.
Hope to see you there and stop and say hello if you have the chance.
Exciting News. We have another giveaway for this month.
We are close to 9,000 entries for the contest. I appreciate all the participation.
Stephen over at Bear Woods recommended that we do a giveaway in conjunction with the Midwest Scroll Saw and Woodworking Trade Show. You do not have to be at the show to win.
We will have three winners.
#1 will receive a $300 gift certificate from Bear Woods sponsored by the Scrolsaw Workshop
#2 will receive a $150 gift certificate from Bear Woods sponsored by Bear Woods.
#3 will receive an incredible scrolled piece of art by Charles Dearing. This artwork will be cut live at the show. After the show, it will be packaged and sent to the winner. You will love this artwork.
The contest is open to the world. Enter once per day.
The entries will end 7/31/2018 at midnight. Winners will be drawn during the show.
We will try to stream the drawing live if we have a decent internet connection.
