Here is another desktop game that you can build in just minutes. It is challenging and frustratingly fun. The goal is simply to swing the ring on to the hook.
You have to swing the ring in a small side arc to get it to catch the hook. With a little practice, I was able to get nine in a row. What can you do?
The project uses a key ring, screw hook, eyelet screw, and string.
The frame is built from 1/2" thick Baltic birch plywood.
The video shows how to set up the length of the string.
Question about my Catalog:
My catalog DVD is selling well but I have had a few emails asking for another option. Many newer computers are now shipping without DVD drives. This is especially true of laptops.
I am considering two other possible options.
The first is to make the catalog available on a thumb drive. This would cost a little more than the DVD. I am trying to see how low I can get the cost so I don't have exact figures yet. I am shooting for $23 + about $3.50 for shipping. This would be U.S. only. I cannot get the price low enough for international shipping.
The next option is to make the files available for download. The file size is approximately 2gb so it will require a decent internet connection to download. The files would be compressed in a zip file. I would use pCloud as the delivery service. I can do this option for a flat $20 because there is no shipping involved. You would need some basic computer skills to download and decompress the files to a directory on your hard drive.
My current distributor of the DVD is Kunaki. They would still do the DVD but I would have to do these other two methods manually. I would set up an order form and take payment through PayPal.
If either of these options would help you then shoot me an email and I'll see what the interest is. If it's high enough I'll try to make it happen.
2007-2018 Scrollsaw Workshop Catalog DVD Now Available. $20
$20 plus shipping
For those of you who have been waiting for the update, it is now available to order.
For those of you who are new here are the details.
Every year in January I compile all the scroll saw patterns that I have designed and put them on a DVD. The DVD includes every pattern from 2007-present. Currently, that is over 2,600 patterns.
Why should you buy the DVD? These are the same patterns that are in my free online catalog. You do not have to buy the DVD to have access to the patterns.
The DVD is produced because so many people asked for it. People want to have the patterns available locally. In some cases, they want the patterns for their club library. Others like the ease of searching the patterns on their local computer. Many people buy the DVD just to support what I do.
The #1 reason I have been told that the DVD catalog is needed is that they fear I will go offline and all the pattern will be gone forever.
Whatever your reason I truly appreciate you purchasing the DVD. The sales from this product go a long way to support what I do here on the blog.
