Large Mantle Clock Scroll Saw Pattern

No frills, large six-inch mantle clock. This was a frustrating design. I spent a couple hours tonight adding all types of embellishments to this large mantle clock. Every one of them looked terrible. Then it dawned on me that just because we can does not mean we should.

We can cut all types of embellishments with the scroll saw but this clock just did not need any extra fluff. It is a no-frills mantle clock.

The good news is that you can cut this pattern quickly with only one interior cut. It does need some routing of the edges to give it a finished look.

You can buy the six-inch clock insert at www.bearwood.com

Click to Buy the Insert from Bear Woods.

These larger clock inserts come with a rubber gasket to help hold the clock in the hole. I am not a fan of these gaskets and usually throw them away. If you look closely at the picture you may notice hot glue around the edges of the insert. This holds the clocks in place well and can still be removed if you need to in the future. You just have to cut away the glue.

I signed the back of the clock with one of my custom signature coins. Notice how I casually slid that advertisement into the post? Pure marketing genius. You know you want some. Click Here
