These cut out cards are intended to be art pieces. They are large at 7.5" wide and 10" tall. They are made from two layers of 1/4" thick BB ply. The back layer is painted to match the suit color.
I think this art would be fun for game rooms or anyone who enjoys playing card games.
I would like to see these cut out of a 4 foot X 4 foot piece of plywood. They could be 45" tall. Of course, you would have to cut them with a jigsaw but it would look neat.
Notice in the picture below that you may want to leave a thin unpainted area around the backer board for glue.
Hope to see some of you at the Artistry in Wood Show in Ohio. October 12th and 13th.

Bear Woods and Grobet USA will be showing off the Pegas 21" scroll saw and the new and exciting Pegas Scroll Band Saw. They will have many of their other products available including the new Marathon Micro-Motor K35 Cube.
I know this is kind of late notice but I was not sure if I could make the trip until just recently. As many of you know, my wife had surgery. We were not sure if she would be recovered enough to travel or stay home alone. She is doing much better and is probably going to make the trip with me.
Email Newsletter and spam filters:
It is a constant battle to make sure an email newsletter makes it to the people who subscribe. Spam filters are constantly changing and the newsletter will get blocked after many months of successful delivery.
That is happening this week. Most of the problems are from subscribers who have Comcast email addresses. Comcast tech support has not been able to help for those who have call for support.
Here is one tip that sometimes helps. add the email address that the newsletter is sent from to your contacts list. This will often tell the spam filters that you do want the email.
Also, remember that the newsletter is simply a copy of the daily blog post. If you think you have missed a newsletter then visit the blog. https://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/
All of the free patterns that are delivered in the newsletter are also added to the free online catalog.
I am sorry if you have been affected by this issue. I have done everything on my end to try to let the spam filters know that only subscribers are receiving the email.
Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:
Progress on orders is going well. Current turn around is about two days. If you don't see your order in your email inbox, make sure you check your spam folder.
The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.
You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.
The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.
You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.
$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.
Email Newsletter Readers: Remember that the Newsletter is just a copy of the daily blog post. To see the post in it's proper formatting click this link. If you ever misplace a pattern or any item you see here you can always find it on the blog. Everything stays on the blog forever.

WEN 3420T 8 in. x 12 in. Variable Speed Benchtop Mini Wood Lathe
$159.11 and decent reviews. This WEN saw is about as cheap as you can get when it comes to lathes. The strange thing is that the reviews are not bad.
