This large Santa ornament is designed to hang on your front door. It is probably best to cut this from Baltic birch plywood. I am showing the backer board painted red. Make sure you use outdoor paint and finish to help protect the ornament from the weather.
I have been on a Christmas pattern roll lately. I promise that I will change up the theme soon and design of few non-holiday patterns.
I am in my hotel room so I am going to cut this post a little short. I will try to get another post out tomorrow to give you highlights from the show I am attending.

What a day:
I spent Friday as the guest of the Carolina Scrollers Club at the Klingspor Woodworking Extravaganza in Hickory North Carolina. The hospitality was just wonderful. I feel like we have known each other for years and become good friends. I want to thank everyone in the club for the warm welcome. Thank you. This was the first day of a two day event. The show is sponsored by Klingspor. They put on a first class show. I was amazed at the attendance. We were busy all day. I cannot even count the number of folks who stopped to say hello. We are talking hundreds. The show was a general woodworking show but there were many who were also scrollers. We talked shop all day. And I mean all day. I did not stop talking for even a few minutes. My wife says I can talk all day in an empty room so I was in my comfort zone.
It sounded like the vendors had good days. I saw lots of boxes going out the door. I am told that Saturday will be even busier.
The scroll saw community is always generous with their time and money. The Carolina Scrollers club sells beautiful hand cut Christmas ornaments and donate the proceeds to the Second Harvest Food Bank. They had a great day and surpassed last years day one total. They worked hard to help out people who need a helping hand.
The club is located in Winston Salem. If you live within driving distance you should consider joining. Having friends to share your hobby with adds so much to the hobby. You do not need to be an expert scroller. All levels from beginner to expert are welcome.
I did not have time to get show pictures but I will try me best to get some snaps tomorrow.
Slight Delay:
While I am traveling there will a delay in shipping orders. I did have several Personalized Christmas ornament orders still pending when I left. There were also a few Signature coin and USB drive orders that I will need to ship when I get home. I will make that a priority when I get back. Thanks for you patience.
Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:
I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.
The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.
You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.
The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.
You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.
$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.
