For these six ornaments, I am using 1/8" acrylic mirror and Baltic birch plywood. In the ornament above The frame is 1/4" thick and the mirror and fretwork ornaments are both 1/8" thick. I cut as accurately as possible to get a good fit in the frame. If you have trouble staying accurate then over cut and sand to a good fit. The second option to cut the mirror ornaments below is easier and I like them better.
When these are hung on the tree with all the lights they reall stand out.
Okay now, let's talk about the second option below for the ornaments. You can also cut the interior cuts out of the mirror and back it with painted 1/8" Baltic birch plywood.
I actually like this second option better but obviously, I was not smart enough to apply the pattern to the correct side of the stack.

To cut the acrylic mirror you need to stack it between two sheets of 1/8" Baltic birch plywood. The ply protects the mirror. In the stack below I have the mirror facing down which was why I had the backward NOEL. When I wrapped the stack with blue painters tape to hold it together I lost which side was the top. If I had picked one of the ornaments without letter I would have been okay. Just pay more attention than I did. :)
Experimenting with the Acrylic mirror:

In the past, I have always used the sandwich cut technique to cut acrylic and metal. I use a different brand of blades now and this acrylic mirror is something I have only ordered a few times. I decided to try to cut it with only its protective film and the pattern.
It cuts nearly perfectly. I had to use good technique because the acrylic is so thin but the edges are clean and I was able to cut accurately. I would still probably stack cut and wrap in blue painters tape to make it easier but I am not sure I need the sacrificial BB ply to cut this stuff.
I used a Pegas #3 Modified geometry blade for the cut. You may get slightly different results depending on the blade yo use. Just experiment and see what works.

I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.
The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.
You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.
The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.
You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.
