It felt like the perfect time to do a patriotic pattern. There is so much mistrust and name-calling going on that it can shake your belief in our system and values as a nation. I'll admit that my "had it up to here" meter is maxed out. I'm frustrated just like most people but I'll be damn if I will let this foolishness break my pride in the people of our country.
"We the people", is a phrase from the Preamble of the United States Constitution. Gouverneur Morris, an American statesman and Founding Father of the United States wrote those words. The Preamble lays the groundwork for the Constitution. The Preamble does not grant or restrict powers but it does imply responsibility. "We the people" are responsible for the establishment of justice, domestic tranquility, common defense, and general welfare.
The Preamble does not say "We the government", will ensure domestic tranquility. It is their job to do what "We the people" tell them to do. I don't care if you are a Democrat, Republican, or independent. I don't care if you disagree with me on most topics. I just care that you and I can sit and discuss topics with civility and respect. It's not that difficult to be respectful but you would never know that if you turn on the news.
Okay, with all the negative why am I determined to be proud of my country? I am proud because our government is "We the people". When enough people in the center finally get fed up with the extremist mentality of no compromise then, "We the people" can make it better. I may have lost some faith in our politicians but I know that the American people are capable of demanding better.
I am happy to listen to your thoughts on anything I write. I will not call you a foul name or insult your intelligence. I won't call you stupid and I expect the same from you. We may end up agreeing. We may end up disagreeing but I will be respectful and polite. I probably won't reply to many of the emails because of time but I will read them.
I'm glad I got that off my chest. :)

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:
I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.
The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.
You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.
The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.
You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.
$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
