Optional Paint
This shield is ~ 8.5" tall. It is made from three layers. When I simulate a picture of a final project I use contrasting woods textures to make the image show up better. You could easily cut this from three sheets of Baltic birch plywood or MDF. MDF would be fine if you plan to paint the final shield.
All three layers of the pattern.

Bear Woods attends the Carving Show of North Carolina:
Watch the Video
Our friends over at Bear Woods attended the carving show of North Carolina. While they were there they lobbied for the event to include scroll saw art next year. I have never attended this show but from the video, it looks pretty nice. If you are associated with this event we would love to have a scroll saw presence.
The video is just a quick walkthru near the end of the event. I believe the guy behind the camera is Sterling Davis. Sterling is a content producer with a presence on YouTube. Check Sterling out at this link. He has a wood crafting channel.

- Variable speed goes from 400 to 1600 strokes per minute
