I call this the Can Stein. It is cut from 1/4" thick material. I used Baltic birch plywood but that was just a prototype. I think it would look better in a hardwood. I gave it a few coats of acrylic spray jut to protect it from moisture.
I intentionally made the handle hold opening larger than would look proportional but I went for comfort on that part of the design.
The can openings are intentionally tight on the can. Don't undercut the openings. If you do the con won't fit without some sanding.
Those of you who use my patterns with your laser cutter should find this a fast and useful pattern.
An option would be to add a person's initials to the brace across from the handle. Remember that my patterns will Import into Inkscape so they can be edited. You just need a stencil font similar to this one. STENCIL FONT LINK
I included an alternate brace in the pattern book like the one on the right below. It is a little fancier hopefully looking more like a beer stein.
I am not sure if every type of canned drink is the same diameter. This is designed to fit the can I had available. Some beers may be different. Adjust if necessary to fit your can.

Choosing the correct scroll saw blade for a project: By Bob Duncan.
I get this question all the time. Which blade should I use? There is no need to reinvent the wheel when someone smarter than me has already done the work.
Bob Duncan (Former editor of Scroll Saw Woodworking and Crafts magazine), has an article on the magazine's web page that is as detailed an explanation as I have seen. All the information in this article is valid but remember that in art or craft there are always reasons to ignore the rules. Just consider this a Scroll Saw Blade 101 class.
Here is the link to his article.
Thanks Bob.
