One of the most honorable things a man or woman can do is serve their country in the defense of our freedoms. In the US we set aside this day to show our appreciation of veterans.
A special day is nice but if you have the means then please support one of the many organizations that assist our veterans. Military.com has a web page "Ways to give back to veterans". I have not personally researched all of these groups but most of them are very recognizable. If you are looking for a way to says thanks, this may be a good place to start.
These are small key fobs. They are 3" long and 1.5" wide. There are two layers. The back layer can be painted or left natural. You could also just skip the back layer.
I wanted to keep these key fobs small enough to be comfortable in a pocket. That makes them slightly more difficult to cut. You will need a small drill bit to drill the interior holes. a 1/16" bit will work. I use a #3 scroll reverse blade when cutting small interior cuts like these.
When interior cuts get small, technique gets more important. A couple years ago I did a video showing what I consider to be the most important scroll saw technique. If you have a few minutes take a look. It may give you some insight, especially if you are new to the hobby.
Back in 2014, I showed a technique of using polymer clay as an inlay material. That could also be a good option for these key fobs. Click the photo example below for details of the technique.
