These Welcome Fall Initial door ornaments come in two sizes. The large pattern is 10" in diameter and the small pattern is a little over 8" in diameter. The layers are cut from 1/4" thick wood.
Remember that you can use the free Inkscape program to edit my patterns. The PDF file will import into Inkscape. This pattern may be a good candidate for editing. Remove the words "Welcome Fall" and replace them with the last name indicated by the initial. If you would like to give this a try then watch the tutorial video below.
Scrollnado Scroll Saw Dust Collections System Modification:
This modification was not endorsed by the designer of the Scrollnado. This is just a mod that a reader suggested and I decided to try. It seems to work pretty well so I thought I would pass it along.
If you did not watch my video review of the Scrollnado then this won't make much sense. The video is linked below if you wish to check it out.
The memory tube of the Scrollnado works pretty well but a reader suggested a Loc-Line tube may work even better. I order this one from Amazon and installed it.
The Loc-Line came with three different size nozzles and two end connectors. I used the large opening nozzle and the small thread end connector. The end connector was a perfect fit in the flexible hose of the Scrollnado. A drop of CA glue should hold it in place permanently.
I tested the system with the Loc-Line and the dust collection was just as good as with the memory tube. I found it a little easier to get the nozzle pointed directly at the back of the blade for good efficiency.
I believe you only need the Loc-Line on the top of the table. The bottom hose has a more permanent position and does not need to move.
The Loc-Line was priced at $8.79 for the kit pictured below.
Keep in mind that Loc-Line can be very difficult to assemble and disassemble without the specialty tool. It is priced at $9.61 on Amazon. If you have a heat gun you do not need the tool. Just heat the female section of the tubs until it is slightly pliable. You can then easily insert the male side.
Notice how I was able to point the nozzle at the back of the blade and slightly down. This minor adjustment seemed to improve the dust collection even more.

Totally Random and Wierd
I asked an Artificial Intelligence Computer Algorithm to paint an abstract painting of a man sitting in front of a scroll saw. I swear I think it saw my messy shop and painted me! 😄
Warning: If you click the link above you may get stuck for hours generating totally random and weird paintings. Just type what you want it to paint. Select a style and hit create. Some of them are really strange but occasionally it makes something beautiful.
