This is a very easy Thanksgiving decoration. There is only one interior cut. The turkey is cut from 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood and painted red with gold glitter. There is also a tiny pattern that is cut from 1/8" thick BB ply.
The pattern comes in three sizes. The small turkey is about 6.5" wide and the large one is 9.5" wide. The tiny pattern is under 3.5" wide.
Cut several of the tiny turkeys and place them on the plate of everyone at the table. The large turkey could be a table centerpiece.
Some projects have pieces that need to be glued together that are very difficult to clamp. CA glue with an activator can make an excellent clamp while the more permanent wood glue cures.
Wood glue can take several minutes to cure well enough for the pieces to hold together. If you can't get a clamp on the parts you are stuck trying to hold the pieces until they will stay together. This often leaves a weak joint.
CA glue with activator will set in about 5 seconds. Sometimes the CA glue is all that is needed but I prefer the stronger wood glue if the project will be handled much. I apply a couple drops of the CA glue and wood glue on the remainder of the surface. Spray the opposite part with the activator and hold them together for 5 seconds. Now the parts are joined while the wood glue cures.
