This box is 8" wide and about 4" tall. The pattern calls for 1/4" thick wood. It can be cut from Baltic birch plywood to reduce the cost of materials. If you want contrasting colors like the simulated images above then paint or stain the liners boards and Cameo figure.
I also suggest that you stack-cut the front and sides of the box. There are quite a few interior cuts and stack cutting will save a lot of time.
