Two patterns today. The basket is 10" long and 7" wide. The Halloween skull is 10" tall. I know it is a little early for Halloween patterns but I thought I would throw one in just for fun.
INFORMATION: I received a few emails yesterday about the comment I made about Titebond II glue. I said that Titebond II was waterproof. The comments were that Titebond II is water resistant and Titebond III is waterproof. That is correct.
The good news is that Titebond II is recommended for outdoor furniture and birdhouses. Titebond II has always worked fine for me with outdoor projects but if you want even more assurance that the glue joints won't fail then use Titebond III. It is a little more costly but might be worth the extra cost.
I get asked almost every month which of these two saws is better. They are priced nearly the same so they get compared often. The DeWalt DW-788 is currently $379 on Amazon and the WEN LL2156 is listed at $362.85.
To be honest, it is difficult to compare the two saws because the WEN has been on the market for such a short time compared to the DeWalt. The DeWalt has been around for years and we pretty much know all of its strengths and weaknesses. The WEN is so new that we don't have a good database of failures with age. From what I have seen, the out-of-the-box failure rate is similar. I have heard from two WEN customers who were not pleased with the saw because they had early trouble. In both cases, WEN stepped up and resolved the trouble.
I own both of these saws and am happy to use either one. My opinion is that the DeWalt has a little better build quality. I like the WEN table better than the DeWalt. Once you get past those small differences there is very little that separates these saws.
If you want to read a few customer comments about the WEN LL2156 then check out the comments under my YouTube video review of the WEN. The video has nearly 100 comments so that is a pretty good sample size.
