This looks like an easy cut but it is deceptive. Many slots need to be cut accurately. They do not have to be perfect but tight enough to be snug. Likewise, if you are cutting with a laser and your plywood is 6mm, the slots will be a couple hundredths too wide they are not metric. You will need to adjust.
Circles can be difficult to cut for a new scroller. I normally recommend using a disc sander to correct the problem but in this case, you need to not sand away too much or the slots will be too short.
CA glue with an activator is by far the best glue to use for this project. If you only have wood glue then you will need to be creative to clamp the pieces together while the glue dries. If the slots are snug you can do the assembly and use rubber bands as the clamps.
Now that I have talked everyone out of cutting this project, it will be a great learning experience. If you can get this project assembled and it is strong enough to hold a basket of fruit then you are a pretty good scroller(official Title).😀
