Bear Box Scroll Saw Pattern

Important Information.

Most of you know that I spent some time in the hospital a few weeks ago, a couple of days after I started taking orders for Personalized Christmas Ornaments. Well, my recovery is taking much longer than I expected. My energy level is not good at all. They also discovered some other issues during the procedure. The result of all of this is that I am way behind on the orders and have not answered hardly any emails for several days.

This time of year I normally work 8-plus hours a day to keep up. I am lucky now to be able to work 2 or 3 hours without exhausting myself. All I can do is apologize for the delays. My plan is to still complete the orders. I will not ask for payment on these delayed orders. I just am not sure how long until I get caught back up. I ask for your patience.

Email is a problem as well. I probably have 500 or more unanswered emails. To be completely honest many of those will not get answered. I know this is disappointing but I am struggling to get in a solid day's work.

I want to apologize for these delays. My priorities right now are the daily patterns. Those are what keep the blog open so they have to come first. After that, everything else just gets done as I feel well enough to get them done. Thank all of you for your support.

An option that I hope helps:

Because I am so far behind I want to give you the option to make your own personalized ornaments. Let me be clear. This app has not had extensive testing and may not work as intended. I suggest not using it on a smartphone or tablet. Use a PC or a MAC.

Make sure you watch the video because it gives details on how it works. I would appreciate comments on how it works or does not work. If you email with a question that is covered in the video I will probably not reply. Watch the video.

Payment for the use of the app is strictly an honor system. I will not check payments. I am asking $1 per ornament. Do not pay for ornaments that are not usable. If the ornament prints well and you cut the ornament then payment is appreciated. The ornament income makes it possible for me to keep the blog up and running. The blog expenses are a few hundred dollars a month so that is why I am adding the payment option.

This Bear Box is 9.5" long and 5.5" wide and is made from 1/4" thick wood. If you want a larger box you can print it at 200% and use 1/2" thick wood or 300% and use 3/4" thick wood. Ar 300% you are talking about a box that is almost 27" tall and 18" wide. That is large enough for a small toy box.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat as your PDF printer, it has a poster print feature that will print oversized prints on multiple sheets. The problem with this method is that you are talking something like 90 sheets if you print at 300% for this pattern. At 200% and 1/2" thick wood you would be looking at 36 pages. Keep in mind that this is much less expensive than having oversized prints made commercially.

The Merry Christmas door hanging is 8" wide and cut from 1/4" thick wood.

Think Safety

Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
