Second Pattern Today
You know your children so please be careful.
In Southern Indiana, where I live, we don’t typically get as much snow as areas further north. However, over the past few days, we’ve accumulated about a foot of snow. The first few inches were wet and heavy, followed by sleet, creating around three inches of icy, compacted snow. When I went out to shovel the next morning, each scoop was so heavy that I could barely throw it more than a foot. After that, we had some regular snowfall, which was lighter and easier to shovel but added to the overall total. I used to hate it when the roads got bad because I had to drive so many miles for work. Since I retired I just wait it out.
The children building a snowman is about 7" tall and 6" wide. The pattern calls for 1/4" thick wood.
The Toy Train pattern with the three cars connected will be around 14" long. The pattern calls for 1/4" and 3/4" thick wood. You also need four Screw Eyes and a length of 1/4" wooden dowel.
The small wheels and screw eyes make this toy not appropriate for children under age 3. This is only a recommendation; you must determine if an older child can safely use the toy.
