Reminder: Every once in a while, I take a day off from posting patterns on the blog. I took Monday off just to refresh and take a break. When I take a day I get a few emails asking where the newsletter is. I generally don't get a chance to answer those because, on those days, I am resting. The good news is that you can find out if I posted in just a couple of seconds. My online blog is where the subscription newsletter comes from. If you do not get a newsletter, then visit the blog and look at the date of the post. If it is not that day's date, then I probably took the day off. The good news is that over the last 18 years and 3 months, I have posted 82% of the 6,674 days. I have taken the day off on 1,231 days.
More Information: Another question that I have gotten a few times lately is what species of wood I used in a project that I posted. I can't answer that question because I don't use wood any longer. I design so many patterns that I just do not have time to cut all of them. What I do is create a 3D model of the project and render it with wood textures on the models. So the wood you see in the images for about the last two years is not real. This sounds time-consuming, but actually, I do the model and render the image and animation in about 15 minutes. That is a huge time saver and really my only option now.
Sorry for all the boring information, but now we can move on to today's patterns.
The Aquatic Life pattern is 10" tall and 8" wide. There are two 1/4" thick layers. I am showing the image with a wash paint on the backer board. That is optional. I mostly do that because it helps make the front layer look clearer in the rendered image.
The three-layer cross is 10.25" tall and cut from three 1/4" thick layers. I know that some denominations like simpler-designed crosses. This pattern may not be to your liking, but I have several crosses in my online catalog, so check those out if this one is not for you.
