This layered Nativity Scene has very few interior cuts. The only thing that might make this a challenge is the size. The tallest Wise man is only 4.5" tall. The most difficult part will be Joseph's cane. If you have trouble breaking it, simply cut it as a separate part and glue it to Joseph's hand.
This project uses 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" thick wood. That may require you to add to your stock. This pattern can be cut from plywood and still look fine.
The trivet is eight inches wide with three layers. The feet are optional, but they do keep the hot pan further from the counter surface for more protection.
