The Ford Model T, introduced in 1908 by Henry Ford, was the first automobile mass-produced on a moving assembly line, making cars affordable for everyday people. Often called the “Tin Lizzie,” it revolutionized transportation and American industry. The Model T’s simple design, sturdy construction, and reliable 20-horsepower engine made it ideal for the rough roads of the early 20th century. It could reach speeds up to 45 miles per hour and ran on gasoline, kerosene, or ethanol. By 1927, over 15 million Model Ts had been built, cementing its legacy as the car that put America on wheels.
Henry Ford famously said, “Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants, so long as it is black.”
This Model T pattern is not all that realistic, but I kept the pattern fairly easy to cut. The car is 8" long and 5" tall. If you choose to paint the car, Henry says it has to be black. The pattern calls for 1/4" and 3/4" thick wood.
The Lantern Candle Holder is a no-glue assembly. If the electric candle you use will fit inside the lantern, then glue is okay. (A 2.75" diameter candle will just fit). If the candle is too large to fit, then cutting the slots for a snug fit will keep the lantern together well enough. Just do not lift the lantern with the handle to be safe.
This is a more masculine candle holder, so it might look better in a man's sitting room or man cave.
