This Santa box is 8" deep and 8" wide, large enough for a few uses. It would hold a large supply of Christmas candy or a holiday flower pot.. I am showing the box with a red liner. I did that to make the fretwork more visible. You could add that to the box you make with some thin cardboard or 1/8" thick plywood.
An option if the four sides are cut with the fretwork, looks too challenging, cut the front and leave the other three sides uncut. It will still look fine.
The box is constructed with 1/4" thick wood
I have my next doctor's appointment today to get him to rewrap my broken ankle. I still have to wait another week before they do more X-rays, so I won't learn much, but the swelling is 90% gone, so that is probably a good sign. The pain is also very manageable now, and my biggest problem is just trying to stay off my feet. When there is so little pain, it is easy to want to get up and go. I am lucky to have a lot of family helping me get groceries and other items, so for the most part, as much as I hate just doing nothing, I have done a lot of nothing. The blog helps keep me busy, so that is nice. I am working on the Personalized Christmas ornaments, which are going well but slowly.
