Music Clock with Pendulum Scroll Saw Pattern
Here is a mini pendulum clock with a music theme. The clock is a 1 7/16" mini insert. You can buy the clock insert and the pendulum drive unit at Wildwood Designs.

Jigsaw Puzzle Template Book Demonstration
This post is a demonstration of the Jigsaw Puzzle Template book that I have for sale on the blog. I have had the book for sale for quite some time and I wanted to update the video demonstration. I also wanted to design a couple jigsaw puzzle boxes to keep the puzzles in. The box patterns are free to download.
The template book is for sale at the top of the blog for $7. The book includes the templates for different size puzzles.
The template book along with the boxes make a very nice family heirloom. The templates make cutting the jigsaw puzzle a snap and the video will show you everything you need to know to make the puzzles.

Guitar with Case Scroll Saw Pattern
I have always loved the guitar and even play a little bit myself. Jim Baxter, a friend and work colleague who helps me come up with ideas for new patterns suggested this one. I sat down Saturday and designed the guitar. It was very simple to make so I decided it needed a case to go with it.
I cut the project last night and sanded and finished it tonight. It is a simple pattern to cut and with a nice finish I think it looks pretty convincing.
The only real challenge was contouring the back of the neck. I sanded it to shape. The sound hole has a 1 7/16" mini clock insert.
This is one of my favorite new patterns. I really enjoyed this one and I hope you will also.

The true meaning of Easter.
The true meaning of Easter can often be overlooked in the commercialization of the holiday. A couple week ago Ken Chastain emailed me with an idea that I think shows what Easter is all about. Ken and I got together today and put together a project that I think you will enjoy cutting.
The pattern is simple but the idea behind the pattern is very meaningful to many of us. Ken bought a small wooden egg and designed a jig to allow him to cut it on the scroll saw. What came out of this is the beautiful cross in the picture above.
Ken and I got together in the shop and produced the video below to demonstrate the technique so you can build your own.

Flower Vase Scroll Saw Pattern
A few week ago I published the flower pattern above. It needed a vase to go with it so I set down tonight and designed one. The vase stands about 7" tall. I built it around a standard size glass bud vase. The glass vase is 7 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" in diameter.
I also included the flower pattern in this book so you would not have to go looking for it. Obviously you can build the vase and not use the wooden flower.
The vase is an easy pattern to cut but you need three hands to put it together. The two maple rings have holes cut to hold the sides of the vase. Insert the sides into the assembled base with glue. Then carefully line up the sides with the holes in the top ring assembly. It takes a little fiddling but just take your time and you will get it together.

Bible Box Scroll Saw Pattern
I was doing a custom design for a reader. He needed a keepsake for the Christening of his grand nephew. After I finished, I decided to remove the custom parts and upload it as a pattern for everyone to cut. You can use it as a small bible box. You will probably have to enlarge the pattern to fit your personal bible. You also have room on the right side of the cross to add a scrolled name to make the box a very special gift for a friend or family member. The box in the picture is 5" x 7".

Basket Weave Scroll Saw Pattern
This small basket is a fun and quick project. I have seen this type of basket sold in the Artique store for $50. I used the weave technique for this pattern. It is a pretty effective illusion of a weave. I suggest that you stack cut the weave to speed the project up.
