This small ornate recipe stand features an adjustable viewing angle. It will hold recipe cards up to 4" X 6". This idea came from a reader. Mike Abbey sent me an email letting me know his wife liked the idea of a recipe card holder.
I designed it a bit different than the one they sent a picture of. It used horseshoe bolts to hold the cards permanently in place on the stand. I did not want to punch holes in my wife's old recipe cards so I used an easel style of stand. When I get time I will design a recipe card box to sit beside this stand.
If you want the stand to hold a larger stack of cards just make the ledge thicker.
The stand can accommodate a fairly large viewing angle.
If you go high tech with your recipe cards the stand will also hold a smartphone.
Bucket Boss Shop Apron: Great Buy.
I almost always wear an apron when I'm in my shop. I don't treat my aprons very well so I have to order new ones from time to time. I tend to wipe my glue covered fingers on the apron. This makes a mess after a while and they look pretty bad.
This used to be a problem because the old apron I used was pretty expensive. Then I found these Bucket Boss aprons on Amazon. Right now they are selling for $13.38, That's a great buy for these very well made aprons. They are made from thick canvas and hold up great.
They fit up to a 52" waist and have padded shoulder straps. I have never worn one out.
I do make one modification to the apron before I use it. I don't like the center strap so I cut it away. Depending on your body shape the center strap my be fine for you but it will work without it.
I just ordered another one and if you are interested I will show how I modify it when the new one arrives.
