This Valentine Day, light tower is eight inches tall. It lights up the text, "You light up my life", and projects hearts on to close walls.
If you use a candle as the light source make sure you remove the top while it is burning.
If you use the light kit you can glue the top on.
These craft light kits are inexpensive and easy to install. They are $7.95 on Amazon and easily install in a one-inch diameter hole.
Do not glue on the bottom if you use the light kit. You need to be able to remove the bottom to replace the bulb. I did not attach it at all. I just site the tower on the bottom.
I included three extra patterns to the back of the tower light pattern book. These are super easy and quick little projects you can give your Valentine.

I get a ton of questions from you guys about my laser engraver/cutter. I have owned a couple of lasers. The first one was a very cheap laser that worked but not for long and not very well. I spent under $500 on that laser.
Because I am able to use my current laser as part of my business I was able to invest in a much better laser. I cost nearly $4000.
Last week a received an email from a reader telling me they used an inexpensive diode laser that was working fairly well to engrave designs but it was not strong enough to cut even 1/8" BB ply.
The engraving area was 6" X 6".
I thought that it might be a valuable accessory to add engraved images and text to scroll saw projects. As scrollers, we can cut the boards but the engraving is something that can add extra value to a project.
To make a long story short, I started researching these small diode lasers looking for one that had decent reviews. These types of tools tend to get brutal reviews because many reviewers have unreal expectations.
When I get this laser later this week I will give it a good test and then do a review for anyone who may be interested in laser engraving. I know this toll will come with compromises but for $230 that is expected. The question is if it can add $230 in value to our hobby. We will find out. Stay tuned.
