The Olympics are just 20 days away from their start. The first time I remember watching the Olympics was in 1964. I was seven years old and not much into sports yet. I can only vaguely remember any of the events. I think that piqued my interest in sports because sports played a big part in my time in school and have been important to me even after school, just in the spectator role.
Patty and I watched quite a few hours of the recent Olympic trials. I have a few favorite events but the Olympics allows seeing some sports that are not available at other times of the year.
Today we have three patterns, All are sports-themed. The gold metal is 8" wide. The racehorse is close to 10" long. The Olympic gymnast patterns are a fairly large set. Each set is 10" wide. If you have a young girl participating in gymnastics they may enjoy them as decorations in their rooms. These patterns will be easy cuts because there are not many interior cuts. The racehorse pattern may je the opposite difficulty to cut. There are several small interior cuts.
